    DRUNK....the land of wine (O_o)

hihihi...Just kidding!!! i was NOT drunk but it's true that i visited the land of wine...BORDEAUX!!!

to start off..how can i not forgot..the dedications!! allow me to do it in french this time^^

    now then..BORDEAUX!!! wat a beautiful romantic city^^
it's just right next to the river and the buildings.oH..the BUILDINGS..they've been soo well kept and restored..
Imagine..if i take up an eraser and just rub off  the cars and the modern stores from the picture, i'll have the impression that i've traveled back in time..to the time where horses CARRIAGES clack down the stone streets and men with high HATS and women in big SKIRTS  stroll down the street...hihihi

Even more, i've been hosted so well at Sarah's grandparent's house..Fredy and Jacqueline. Fredy, the grandpa, is the most GENTLEMEN i've ever met..he ALWAYS let's women go first and serves himself the last. these kinds of mens are the more and more rare to find eh><
and Jacqueline, she has such a BRAVE heart!! even though her knee hurt, she went to take a wake anyways with sarah and me..the results werent so nice, she couldnt walk properly afterwards cuz she was so in pain><...yikes..but we had a great time anyways despite this fact

my best memory of bordeaux...have to admit..the SHOPPING and the CANELéS!!!! haha..
there were sooo many stores with all these cute stuff..needless to say, my eyes were pretty full with all the images it had to take in..hihi
while we were shopping with sarah, i felt like i was in a TEENAGE MOVIE. u no, those kinds of scenes where the two heros walk down a chic road in Los Angeles, laughing and swinging their shopping bags as they walk in time with the music like "Satuday day night' of Hilarry Duff..wooooow..
    EXCEPT...
the fact that we didnt have those COUNTLESS shopping bags in our hands like them AND that i kept tripping over the sidewalk-_-"...hahaha...sigh..but well..it was really pleasant AND that money (for me) does NOT grow on a tree so i had to keep saying to myself "CHATUCHAK CHATUCHAK CHATUCHAK" to remind myself not to spend too much money..Hohohoho

and the CANELES..it's a dessert and i have to announce..it has officially entered my TOP FIVE FAVORITE DESSERT LIST^^ hohohoho..it's a form of cake..
CRISPY  with the CARAMEL on the outside,
yet super duper SOFT and CHEWY inside..aaaaaaa><
too delicious to be true..hihihi..if u guys have the chance..just taste it^^

other than that, sarah and i went to the cinema..to watch DA VINCI CODE..(not disappointed..yea!) and we also went to the BEACH LACANAU!!
at first the sky was really cloudy (i was pretty sad, cuz i bought these "FLY sunglasses O-O" and i wanted to try them out>< haha) but little by little, as we approached the beach, the blue sky appeared to sky a big HELLOO! hehe
there were A LOT of people..especially surfboys (cough cough) and surfgirls..hahahaha..pretty cool
the stores there were hyper expensive..there were even things from thailand, u know..like the coconut bracelets and the "kang keng lae" thai pants that cost 5 times more expensive><
and so..sarah and i settled down for an ice cream instead..yum yum^^!!

and then, the next day, it was time to go home sad sad sad..
the time past by in a whizz><
there was just enough time for me to grab some caneles for my host family..hehe..and
gather up a bouquet of FLOWERS for my host mom..cuz it was MOTHER's DAY!!!!!!!
(love u ever so much mommy...and dun feel jeolous daddy, love u so much too)

arrival at toulouse..how hot it was!!! dunno wat i'll do wen i return to thailand..i'll just melt down withl all my sweatO_o
..and then went to celebrate MOTHER's day witih 'my host mom of the weekend and vacation'..hihihi..it's sarah's mom...and after a big delicious american meal..i returned home with a big belly and a big desire to go to bed..whew^^ hehehe wat a long yet exciting day..

viola!! end of yet another adventure..and through all that i just drank 3 gulps of wine promise! enjoy the photos^^

    May 22

    Still walkin' down the line...

aaaaaaHHH...my adventure here never stops doesn't it..well, so much the BETTER!!!^^

to start it all of..last week, my host mother, CATHY and i finally had the chance to do something together (eeer...well, kinda my fault cuz i'm never at home hae hae hae)
as the weather was really nice, we decided to visit Montsegur....
as we climbed up and up apnd up the STEEP hill..cathy had the time between heavy breaths to tell me the legend of this famous castle..
    so...a little history lesson here^^...
Montsegur is a ruined "castle" all there is left is just rocks and stones but it was once a big fortified castle(yep...the glorified times of knights, princesses AND peasant farmers..hihi)
BUT...this castle is more special than the others because a long long time ago..the castle was ATTACKED...and the whole village inside the castle were BURNED ALIVE...>< wat a history!!!

after a walk back to the past, cathy and i took a peaceful stop at a fountain (sorry..i forgot the name-_-") the fountain was supposed to stop every 30 minutes or so and then we could actually walk inside the cave..but well...it didnt stop wen i went there and i got pretty tired of waiting>< the rushing water current was relaxing anyways^^

    next stop...HYèRE!!
as my host sister is gonna move bak to toulouse..cathy had to go help here transport the furniture..and so i profited a bit to go help her..Hohoho..got to miss school and all>< muahahaha

a trip to the CHIC city..yep..it's rite next to the sea and it's where the STARS go sunbathing on the beaches...
well, during the trip i had to sit 12 hours in all during 2 days but i guess it was worth it... hihihi
i benefited in the car to enjoy the changing landscape of france...soaring mountains turned into flat, rocky plains then to dry arid deserts and then FINALLY to the refreshing sea!!

the city was just tooo cute. palm trees where everywhere..and i felt like i was in MIAMI or FLORIDA..surrounded with expensive looking houses and stylish yatchs parked along the port....*sigh* one day one day...maybe i'll be rich enough to spend my vacation sipping cocktail on one of these boats..hahaha

FOOOORWAAAARD MARCH!!! and then it was AFS WEEKEND IN THE FOREST!!!
cant actually remember the name of the forest but it think it's...gresigne her ' her ' her
anyways..i just had the most wonderful time there
    i always do with AFS
although it rained and we couldnt go hiking in the woods...the atmosphere was still cheerful wen we played games inside. we had some pretty good laughs there..hahaha ..the talks where we tested who knew the most rude words in french..the "boyfriends" the parties..the funny experiences in france.. they brought smiles to my face

the thing i love about AFS is that...i always feel comfortable wen i'm with them..
i'm with the people who are like me..far away from home, learning a new language..
they really do understand how i feel and i'm assured that i'm not alone..others are experience aprroximately the same stuff that i am..and so..here's an example of our conversations^^

"aaaah..I'm so fat..i just CANT believe i gained this much weight!!! my family's not gonna recognize me wen i get bak "
    it's NORMAL....after all..AFS is Another Fat Student^^  HAHAHHAHA

"ooo..i miss my family soo much but i still dun wanna leave the things that i've become attached to here><"
    it's NORMAL...

"er! i'm soooo embarassed wen i make mistakes in french..for example pronouncing words that turns out to be pretty vulgar...and then everyone laughs at me!!"
    it's NORMAL...

"i cant believe the year is coming to an end already..the time passed tooo fast><"
    it's NORMAL..

and so...feel pretty assured..and love how the others comfort me by saying "it's normal" hehehe I'm NOT THE FREAK^^

by the time i had to say good bye..gotta tell ya..had something stuck in my throat><
i know that i'll probably be seeing some of them again but still..
it's the beginning of "saying goodbyes", of leaving the things that i've become my habits and my joy..
SHIVER!!! dun wanna think about it...not gonna think about it

brief..it was a really MEMORABLE weekend!!!

    May 15

    What if...what if...what if...

What if I never came to France with AFS...., if I had never took that Austrian airline flight from my homeland...what would my life be like?
I just cant help myself thinking over this question...

Well, if I'm Thailand rite at this moment, I'd still be with my dear family...
I'd be tucked up between mommy and daddy under the bedsheets before I kiss good night....
I'd still be laughing with Poppy over the jokes at school...
I'd still be sitting and sleeping at home watching a MTV...like normal...
    BUT NOW...
I have the chance to meet the Mabilles...
I share jokes about Thailand with Emmanuel
I discuss with Cathy the recipes of French desserts
I compare my French experience with the American one of Florent's...
I've come to discover how each lifestyle of each family is so UNIQUE!! and most importantly, i've come to realize how much i love love LOVE my family ><

If I'm in Thailand, I'd still be a "social butterfly"...
hanging with school friends at school....chit chat a bit here a bit there
then quick! back to ballet rehearsal with my sweet girlfriends...
brief..i've never realized at wat point friends can enrich my life..
    BUT NOW..
I have a new group of friends...the AFS!!! and especially the KIT...keep in touch guys
I've met a best friend i've never had...Sarah...u've inspired me in so many ways..
I've learned for myself how being a friend, is "giving" without any expectation of "receiving"...(esp. if u dun speak the language!)
it wasnt easy...to find the courage to be the first one to say "hello" but it's worth it in the end...
friends are invaluable...do wat it takes to guard them forever^^

If I'm still in Thailand, I'd still be all stressed up with school..
will i get a good grade?
oh! i dont have enough time to study>< aaaa
    BUT NOW
i've got the vacation of a lifetime...school without that pressure!
but still...school wen u dun understand a thing..it's not top top rite...i've learned to just do the BEST that i can...for the better or the worse
and simply, school is an opportunity to hang out with friends..a place to really see the true culture of a French teenage life^^

    If I'm still in Thailand, I'd be...er...thinner..hahahaha
well...wat can i say...I'd still be more obsessed with the outside appearance
competing with others for the chance to shine
    BUT NOW...
the true beauty is inside! (muahahaha a lil comfort for my heart-_-")
it's time for me to love me for who i am....and the same for all others
well..it's also time for me to realize that pretty soon...i'll be bak to reality><

If I'm still in Thailand, my life would be a perpetual routine..
wake up, school, ballet, homework, sleep, TV
    BUT NOW...
my life is a time of perpetual excitement!
I've visited beautiful attractions of France, meeting new people, making new lines of contact...once in a lifetime experience eh

In brief...my life is changed forever...
there are so many other situations that i'd have no space to talk about them all..but
no regrets!...with this year in France, I've learned more about myself...
I've discovered which direction I want to follow for my career...
I've been inspired to do things i've never thought i'd do before
i've seen that the world do not exactly live HOW I live..that others may have different ideas..and it's the idea of ADAPTING myself to live peacefully and happily with others..
    put simply, i've grown up..

and to tell the truth..the ideas and practices that i've learned here...i cant wait to APPLY THEM wen i get bak to thailand!!!^^ wonder how the results would be negative? positive? will my homeland accept the things that i try? ..but well, we'll see soon enough!

how about u guys? how is YOUR life changed?

Step by step..leaving my footprints behind in the wonderful France

the past two weeks was a real ADVENTURE...a real authentic one...woooooh!

each day, i left my FOOTPRINTS  behind in places i've never dreamed of going before..and it's so interesting how each place my footprint was so unique and different from one another..
get ready for a long blog here..my fingers are just itching to tell the stories of my exciting journey!!^^

April 23, a peaceful sunday, was the beginning of it all...it was the take off for PARIS!!!! the capital of the FASHION victims, of the delicious GORMANDISE, of the rich CULTURE and ARTS^^

well, first of all my 'thank yous'...i wouldnt have been able to share this experience if it were not because of the LEDANSEURS!!! special thanks for  ROSE HELEN for taking the time to show me around...and also  MITCHELL for the educative chats, VICTOR for the warm friendliness, CARL, HADRIEN, and AUGUSTIN for the fun games we played..thank you from the bottom of my heart

and now..bak to the trip..the first day i didnt leave so much of my footprints cuz it was the CARRIDE!!! 8 hours..yikes yikes yikes my butt must be more flatten than usual>< and it was so HOT!!! it makes me think of THAILAND...(miss jung loey)..plus, in the car there was no AIR CON like in the thai cars..wat can be do but just sit there and SWEAT like a pig!! but well, we finally arrived and everyone was pretty happy with this fact..Hihihi

the next day the real marks of my footprints start taking place.
each footstep, they took me all around this unique country wen i visited FRANCE MINIATURE. it's a park where there are visit all the tourist attractions in france...in MINI size!  so, insteading of spending years and years and euros and euros..i took the shortcut and visited all....in just 2 hours.
i felt like the ruling QUEEN OF EARTH wen i walked around each tiny attraction..muahahaha
moreever, it was even better with rose helen, she knew so many things about history and architecture..i learned  A LOT! and it makes me a bit GUILTY...i dun no as much about the history and architecture of THAILAND!!! >< i'm inspired to study more now

then, i visited the beautiful CHATEAU de BRETEUIL and an old ruined abbye..footsteps bak in time..i imagined myself living like a princess in the palace...with the Puss in Boots..unfortunately, i'll be just a dream..sigh

the next day and also the following saturday, my footsteps led me eagerly into the famous city..PARIS
how i love it..i just love it. an old city full of tales and stories but in the meantime modernized with the facility of technology!!! a city where there are artistic statues everywhere and musicians playing in the metro...why cant bangkok be like that?
well, i visited the INVALIDS, where Napoleon is buried,
MONTMARTRE and the SACRé-COEUR where the artists roam the streets,
MOULIN ROUGE (frankly, i was disappointed..i was expecting it all glittering and lit up like the film with nicole kidman..and it the end, it was just a basic normal red "windmill")

a little pause there..wow! my legs were jelly! we stopped and ate in a genuine parisien BRASSERIE (café) with traditional french music..Yum yum!

bak on the road...MADELIENE (roman church), BOURSE (old bank), BEAUBOURG (colorful modern library)...important monunents of the city
then the crypt in front ofr the NOTREDAME where i went underground to see the traces of the roman empire that ruled france a LONG LONG time ago.
there was an exposition too where they showed us wat the french people ate 2000 years ago..in brief..Just meat, wine, cheese, and wheat.....no veggie..not good for health!!

o yea, let us not forget that in paris, each time u pass a brand name window, ur JAWS just DROP DEAD to the floor...because of wat? because of the PRICE!!!! unbelievable. there was a bonnet (a hat) of RALPH LAUREN...a hat like those of the construction workers wear (ai mong) the price....hold ur breath...450 EUROS!!! that would be 22,500 bhat...faint faint faint..and a dress of JEAN PAUL GAUTIER...6500 euros (325000 bhat) the people who buy these kinds of stuff must be crazy

there were other interesting attractions too..and things i've never knew before..
in paris, there's a bridge..called the "NEW BRIDGE" but it's the oldest bridge in the city hmmmmm

did you know, that the LOUVRE musuem was a medieval castle with knights and all?
visited the louvre and understand the basement there were the old ruins of this castle!
and inside of the louvre, OF COURSE, i saw the MONA LISA...compared to the other works of art..she's not THAT beautiful, i ask myself why she's so famous..Her!!!
inside the musuem, also there were painters who came to paint the original painting...too bad for them, their works weren't as good as the authentic!!

another lucnch pause..this time it as GREEK at ST. MICHEL, the student corner!!! just delicious..and i tasted the TURKISH DELIGHT for dessert just like the one that edmund in NARNIA at with the white witch^^ hihihihi

last stop for paris...the most beautiful street in france..the CHAMP ELYSEE...there were an enormous ground. plus, that day, there was a football match between paris and marseille..the football fans were EVERYWHERE shouting the songs of their team.-_-"
o yea, u know wat i discovered? there's a tourist of thailand on the cham elysee..THAI PRIDE!!!!

well...two days at paris...not enough..there's too much too see and not enough timeT_T so the other days, i stayed at RAMBOUILLET and victor, the oldest of the boys took be around town...and one of those days, we and his friends had a mug together at the café,  went to the park with his friends to have a KEBAB lunch..went to the pizzaria for a birthday party (i barely knew the birthday girl but she was nice to invite me.) ..really really nice..his friends are just too funny..and i meant a HERO of the school too!! apparently, i saved a lunatic from killing an orthodontist...WOW

thursday...my footprints became smaller..because i got the chance to be a lil girl again...at EURODISNEY!!!! it's disneyland paris..hihihihi
there, we didnt have enough time neither..too many rides..clock doesnt stop for us..so we rushed and rused and rushed to do the most possible.
we went with victor, gael (his friend) and his lil bro augustin..a nice amusing group there
the WORST memory: THE QUEUE!!!! had to wait for hours for a 2 minute ride..>< but well, it was interesting to look at people waiting with us. especially with victor, he doesnt stop remarking the girls hahahaha
    my FAV memory: space mountain!!!! i even did it 2 times..the wind brushing in my hair, not knowing where to go and just screaming my heads off..;
other than that, i played INDIANA JONES, PIRATE OF THE CARIBBEANS, SMALL WORLD ( in fact hte puppets are quite scary with their lifeless staring eyes><)
and o yea, i got to play BUZZ LIGHTYEAR too..and it just opened up for 2 weeks..it was a laser shooting game and i was happy to win augustin who was next to me..girls rulez!
one thing that was curious for me was...DISNEY made a cartoon of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTREDAME...but esmeralda and all..but i didnt see a TRACE of this film in the amusement park..not a trace...nevertheless, it was a cartoon that was based in france...very strange
o, and one day, if i had the chance..I'd love to be a DISNEY worker..they are paid..JUST too move their hands to direct the customers where to go for the exit..how easy is that?

(whoever reads this line is very courageous..it means that u are REALLY TRUTHFULLY reading my whole blog^^ hehe congrats...keep it up..u're almost HALFWAY through! hehehehe)

well...my week at paris ended with an outgoing at the restaurant with the parents of MITCHELL..it was their 50 YEAR MARIAGE ANNIVERSARY...it makes me think if it will eventually reach their record!! well, to start off, i need to find a boyfriend eh-_-"' hahaha

take off again..on may 1 (it's labour day, 'the celebration of working' but we celebrate it by having a holiday -_-" how smart is that?) o yea, for this celebration, we offer to friends and family a bouqeut of the flower MUGUET..to bring goodluck..i HAD ONE!!! hope it will bring me good luck^^

after my goodbyes, i took the plane all alone to toulouse..for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE...needless to say, i was NOT at ease
but the time passed quick anyways...the air hostess had time to do their funny plus RUSHED (i didint understood a word) "emergency features' protocol, then they became saleswomen selling food (no it was NOT free) and perfume..and then it was landing time..
there was a guy next to me, he talked up the air hostess and he got a FREE coffeee!!! lesson for the next time^^ hehehe

after i landed, i quickly toook a bus to the train station...to be horror i saw on the board that the train i wanted to take need reservation..WHAT WILL I DO IF I'M STUCK HERE ALONE????
but in the end, i stepped up to the counter with a big, innocent smile and i got my ticket..YEA!
and so afterwards...i tood the train...
whew, wat a tiring day: airplane, bus, train, then carride bak to MYRIAM's house....the bed was never more comfortable..

okay..return to my thanks again...THANK YOU MYRIAM for the delicious arabien meals, ASSIA for the warm smiles, LOUIZA for your laughes that makes ME laugh, CHRISTIANE for the special chance and warmth u've given me, SARAH for your amazing friendship and deep truthful talks, and EMMANUELLE for being the sister i've never had...thank you...these two words are not enough to say wat i have to say..je vous aime

well....there was an enourmouse change from paris to montepellier..Not only was it the scenery and weather and all that..but because i changed from a family of 5 BOYS and a girl ....to a family of 7 ALL GIRLS!!! the atmosphere was definitely different^^

we girls just had the greatest time together!!
one day, we hopped on a bus into the city MONTPELLIER, the 4th city in size of france
..my footprints were again marked  in a world of civilisation..
we had a SHOPPING SPREE (i didnt buy a lot though) ><
and also visited the town a bit..the monuments and we also took the TRAMWAY..the electric cable cars..it makes me think of a city in the near future..wooow
other than that, there was the PLACE DE LA COMEDIE..the POLYGON...something with a water bridge..
and for the lunch break..we had the yummiest arabien GALETTE ever..and following this lunch break...we had the refreshing HAAGEN DAAZ ice cream with a hot waffle...our corner of paradise hehehehe

the other three days...my footprints were changed..they became a part of nature again...

first one was a 'print'  in the river LE GARDON....it was my first time to SWIM in a river!!!! to get to it, we had to cross a forest...CRACK CRACK CRACK..the woods broke beneath my feet...
well, wen we finally reached our private beach,  my premier thought was..simply scared>< i had seen too many movies with the human eating fish, PIRANAS and CROCODILES to comfortably swim in the river but i tried to push that thought to the bak of my mind...
the next obstacle was the TEMPERATURE OF WATER!!! although "on shore" the weather was super..with the sunlight and all..the water was FREEZING..
we counted ONE, TWO, THREE..and all jumped into the river at the same time...woooooowww!! shivers down my spine..super cold but after a while, i got used to it..
it was so pleasant to swim in the river...only if u swam with the current cuz if not, it can be quite TIRING...and then the rocks were so slippery with algae when u step on it...feels strange
well, after we got tired of swimming, we laid out on the rocks to warm us up...the peaceful life
on the way bak, we visited a cute tiny village with potterie and provencale clothing...i love the countryside^^

second day..after a THAI MEAL (that i successfuly cooked this time) of fried rice..we went for a walk in the rocky mountains the "arc of reagan" something (i can never get the name right hohoho) we walked and walked and walked..for TWO HOURS in total..up and down the cliffs, avoiding horse poo everywhere..
we were .a little bit lost..but eventual shouts of BALAISEEEE!!!(hiking signs) kept us on track...
and finally we arrvied..i left my footprint on the rocks where it once used to be a flowing river.
sarah and her group of friends had the chance to rediscover there childhood again..
on the way bak, the thought on everyone's mind was the chocolate cake of louizza awaiting in tihe car...heheh..because the walk was TIRING!!!!

relaxed at home, we girls tried to do a STAR ACADEMY 7 and a HALF...(like UBC FANTASIA..reality singing competition) but the camera didnt work>< next time next time

the last day...we went to the BEACH at NARBONNE!!!! footprints in the sand this time..
it was so romantic, walking on the sandy beach with the waves (also super cold) licking my feet...
with sarah and emmanuel..we had our own competition...WHO COULD STAND AGAINST THE WAVES??? tried our best to not fall over each time..that brought us a lot of laughs

and excellent meal at the CAFETERIA before reaching home was a perfect end to vacation...
except a lil shock that awaited for us at home with the mystery of "who entered sarah's house" but other than than..we played an excellent game of jungle speed before crashing to bed...

VIOLA!!!!! i think i'll end this blog now...whew...now i'm so tried of typing  that i dun think i'm writing any sense anymore..but wanted to share all that will u all...and i'm sure it will be nice to come bak and relead it in a couple of years time...

to sum it up...during my vacation..I passed from a place where we say hello with 2 KISSES (ariege) to 4 KISSES (paris) to 3 KISSES (montepellier)  and not to count the experiences with  the ESKIMO kiss (with the nose), the BUTTERFLY kiss (the the eyelashes) the KISS OF LOVE (softly on the cheek...by louizza)  and also the famous FRENCH kiss..heheheh...JUST KIDDING...the last one i did not do!!!! unfortunately??? hohohohohohoo....love u all!!!

**photos of montepellier in the next entry
